Every season of the year, RAPRD offers a variety of events that you or your children can enroll in: gymnastics, educational programs, dance, softball, sports clinics, and much more. You’ll find that there’s plenty going on around town that you can enjoy. 

 
 

TODDLER PROGRAMS (0-5 yrs)

Toddler Enrichment

 

Toddler Time | Ages 2-4 yrs | #9613

A great sensory experience for your toddler. We will use fun games, arts and crafts in this class to focus on developing those fine motor skills for your little one.


Friends & Family Playtime | Crawling to 8 yrs | 12:00-3:00pm | M-F

This is a time set aside just for children crawling through preschool to come and play to their heart's content. We have foam blocks, balls, tumbling mats, mini hoops and soccer balls for your little one to come and enjoy. This is a great time for them to socialize and meet other little ones. Parents are FREE with a paid child admission ($2.00 per child). Drop in with your toddler for play or sign up for a toddler class where you and your toddler can learn and bond. Parent participation or remaining on-site is required for all toddler classes.

Crazy About Art | Grades K-5th | #3415

Drawing, painting and more in this fun class designed to teach kids the basics of all art. We will learn to draw in 3D, how to mix colors and other fun art techniques and mediums.

Fabulous Foods | Grades K-5th | #3557

Learn great kitchen skills. Every session will focus on a theme and bring you a delicious new recipe each week. Each session is 3 weeks in length, the 1st week we learn how to make a delicious snack, the 2nd week a tasty entree and the 3rd week we will be making a great desert.

Sports, Gymnastics, & Dance

Little Sports Stars| Ages 3-5 yrs | #3211

Come and learn the basics in sports. We cover the joys of learning how to play the most popular youth sports. FUN is our number one goal. 

Ninja Kids | Ages 5-8 yrs | #9516

Ninja Kids is designed to build a child's self confidence through muscle development and body awareness. Kids learn bully prevention and self defense. Class is a mixture of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, gymnastics and Parkour. This class is fast paced so bring a water bottle. 

Co-Ed Pre-K Basketball League

Pre-K basketball introduces our youngest super-stars to their new favorite sport! The Pre-K league focuses on positive social interactions and basic basketball skills. All Pre-K teams are co-ed. Each team plays 5 Saturday games from 10/26-11/23. Games are 3v3, three players on each team, on a condensed court, with appropriately-sized Grow-to-Pro hoops. All Saturday games are held at Redmond Area Schools. RAPRD provides jersey, parents are asked to provide a mini size basketball. Players must be 4 years old by the registration deadline. Coaches requests are not guaranteed. Registration deadline is Tuesday,September 10th. Limited space available.

Co-Ed Kinder Basketball League

Kindergarten basketball is a fun, positive and interactive experience for children wanting to learn how to play basketball. All kindergarten teams are co-ed. Teams practice once a week at Redmond Area schools. Each team plays 5 Saturday games from 10/26-11/23. Games are 4v4, four players on each team, on a condensed court, with 8' hoops. Practices are held once a week at Redmond Area Schools. RAPRD provides jersey, parents are asked to provide a size 27.5 basketball. Thriller Dance Class | Ages 7-12 yrs | #3516

Learn the dance steps to Michael Jackson’s Thriller. Dance steps are simple and basic. After this 4 week dance session, all “Zombie” dancers will have the opportunity to perform the “Thriller Dance” as a flash mob (weather permitting) on Saturday, October 26, 2019.

Horseback Riding, DoJo & Fencing

Beginner Kendo Fencing for Youth & Adult | Ages 12 yrs & UP | #8678

Learn the fun and challenging martial art of Kendo (Japanese fencing). The Redmond Kendo club focuses on teaching traditional Kendo that will promote a strong mind and body for youth and adults in a safe environment. Redmond Kendo club is instructed by Ryan Atagi fifth degree black belt Kendo, second degree black belt Iaido. Price includes a bamboo sword.

Diane's Horseback Riding | Ages 7-18 yrs | Beginning | #3607

In this fun intro class, Diane starts with the basics as you learn how to maintain and properly care for a horse, as well as how to cinch, saddle and prepare to safely ride a horse. Dress for the weather, as we are outside. Horses and tack provided

Once you’ve learned the basics, it’s time to take things a step further with more advanced maneuvers and learning how to better communicate with the horse. Enjoy the art of learning to ride and care for a horse at Diane’s Riding Place. Horses and tack provided.

Cage Kids | Ages 9-11 yrs | #3516

Our instructors instill confidence and skill into every kid. A typical class includes bully prevention, basic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, body awareness, fitness, gymnastics and above all a fun, high energy good time. This class encompasses all aspects of fitness including muscle development and discipline. 

Boxing | Ages 9 & UP | #3516

The Dojo boxing program accommodates adults & children, men & women of all levels and ages. We teach the basic fundamentals of boxing, while providing a great workout. We focus on improving body composition, hand-eye coordination, cardiovascular health and more.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu | Ages 12 & UP | #8516

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a Martial Art sport that focuses on grappling. The principle is that no matter your size, you can successfully defend yourself using leverage and proper technique, applying submissions via joint looks and choke holds. This will improve physical fitness, core strength, stability and flexibility. A Gi is required, bring your own or purchase one from Dojo.

Camps, Sports and Leagues

 

Open Drop-in Basketball | Age 14 & UP | Elton Gregory Middle School

This is a great time to come down and get in shape and to fine tune your skills for City League basketball. Have fund with your friends or make some new friends while shooting hoops. NO FOOD, DRINKS OR TOBACCO ALLOWED IN THE GYM. Water bottle only. Open gym is subject to school closures. Monday & Wednesday, 8:00-10:00 pm beginning October 2nd.

Cost is $3.00 per visit. 

1st & 2nd Grade Basketball Leagues

3rd-4th & 5th-6th Grades (Boys & Girls) Basketball Leagues

Men's City League Basketball | 18 & UP | Obsidian Middle School

Register your team for this exciting competitive basketball league. This is the time to have fun and let your hoop skills shine. League is on Monday and Wednesday nights. The season will end with a single elimination tournament. Referees and score keepers are provided for this league. Signed rosters must be submitted with payment by the Registration deadline is Friday, December 20th. NO FOOD, DRINKS OR TOBACCO ALLOWED IN THE GYM. League begins January 13th; cost is $640.00 per team.

New Coach's & Coach's Clinic

Welcome Coaches! If you are a returning coach or a coach that's interested in coaching, please contact the sports department at 541.526.1847 to let us know you would like to coach. We are excited to have you join our team and look forward to a great season. All coaches must complete concussion training, fill out a coach's volunteer form and consent to a background check prior to the registration deadline. All team rosters, practice times and supplies will be passed out at the meeting. The date of this clinic will be provided to the coaches prior to the season.
