Human Resource Generalist
The Human Resource Generalist plays a key role in supporting RAPRD’s personnel operations, leading efforts in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits assistance, and staff training coordination. This part‑time, in‑person position maintains compliance with employment laws, ensures accurate HR recordkeeping, and provides responsive guidance to employees and managers on policies, procedures, and development opportunities. With responsibilities ranging from job posting and applicant screening to training administration and policy review, the HR Generalist helps foster a positive, well‑supported, and compliant workplace that aligns with district goals.

Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; and

Two years of human resources or administrative experience; or
-
Any satisfactory combination of experience and training that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Beginning wage: $22.50 - $23.50 per hour
Part time (approx. 25 hours per week)

Aquatic Supervisor
The Aquatic Supervisor supports daily operations of RAPRD’s aquatic facilities through a blend of Swim lesson administration, staff supervision, and hands‑on lifeguarding and instruction. This position plays a key role in ensuring safety, maintaining high operational standards, and fostering a positive, team‑oriented culture. This position requires a high level of organization and proficiency with office-based computer systems to support scheduling, documentation, reporting, communication, and compliance-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
-
Develop lifeguard and swim instructor schedules.
-
Coordinate swim lesson programs and assist with aquatic activity scheduling.
-
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate lifeguards, lead guards, and swim instructors.
-
Monitor pool safety, enforce rules, and maintain active surveillance.
-
Respond to emergencies and provide first aid/CPR as needed.
-
Conduct routine water quality and facility checks.
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or equivalent.
-
Minimum 24 months lifeguarding and swim instruction experience.
-
Minimum 12 months supervisory experience.
-
Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
-
Office computer competency.
-
Ability to perform rescues, respond quickly, and work in a high‑humidity aquatic environment.
-
LGI and CPO certifications required within the first 6 months of employment
Starting Wage: $19.39 – 20.55 /hour
This is a full‑time, in‑person position.
Typical schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 9:00am–6:00pm, with early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.

​Seasonal Maintenance Technician – Parks & Facilities​
Seasonal Maintenance Technician to help keep our parks, facilities, and community spaces clean, safe, and welcoming during the busy season (Mid-March - October). This is a great fit for applicants who enjoy hands‑on work, being outdoors, and supporting community programs. Work will be done Indoor and outdoor, including parks and aquatic facilities. Some evening, weekend, or on‑call shifts may be required.

This position is responsible for:

Mowing, trimming, weeding, and maintaining landscaped areas
-
Assisting with irrigation checks and basic repairs
-
Preparing athletic fields for practices and games
-
Performing janitorial and facility upkeep tasks
-
Operating mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools
​
-
Groundskeeping or maintenance experience helpful but not required. Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work outdoors in all weather
-
Able to follow instructions and work independently or with a team. Valid Oregon driver’s license preferred (depending on assignment)
​
Minimum age requirement: 18
Beginning Wage: $18.50 - $19.25 per hour depending on certifications
This position is anticipated to work 25-40 hours a week, depending on the needs of the district.

​​​Sports Referee
​
Sports Referees are responsible for providing officiating services to specific sports competitions and providing an atmosphere of fun in a competitive, yet safe, environment. Sports Referees are responsible for making immediate decisions based on program needs following district policy and procedures.

Qualifications and requirements for referees include:

Considerable knowledge of playing rules and regulations of specific sport required to do the job

Safety guidelines related to assignment
-
Possession of CPR/PR certificate and Advanced First Aid certificate issued by American Red Cross (must be obtained within 30 days of employment).
