Finance Manager
​
The Finance Manager is responsible for managing and performing duties related to accounting, financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and supervising staff. Work includes complex financial and budgetary analyses, planning, implementing, and monitoring the financial and budgetary programs of the district.
​
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Providing technical advice and assistance to the Executive Director and all departments regarding financial operations.

Develop, recommend, and monitor policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure efficient and effective operations.
-
Performs research, interprets, and ensures that the district accounting practices, and financial reports are compliant with Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP), Government Accounting Standards (GASB) statements, state and federal law and the District’s policies
-
Prepare grant billing and reports; maintain the District’s Fixed asset inventory database.
-
Maintains debt compliance reports; maintains general ledgers, balances and reconciles accounts; supervises accounting staff.

Coordinates with external auditors
-
Builds and maintains spreadsheets of financial, budgetary, economic, and other data used in generating and updating financial forecasts, trending analysis and reporting.

Provides customer service to District employees, vendors and patrons, handling conflicts as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Advanced mathematical skills; intermediate written and verbal communication skills; intermediate computer skills and knowledge of computer programs.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting and three years’ experience, or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the outlined duties.

Aquatic Wellness Instructors
Have you always wanted to help people be healthy and happy? Do you want to be part of an amazing team of fitness professionals providing wellness opportunities in our community? RAPRD has openings for you to join our fantastic Aquatic Wellness Team. Aquatic Wellness instructors are responsible for overseeing the safety of water aerobics patrons while instructing a dynamic, safe and constructive hour long water fitness class. The instructor is expected to maintain a high level of motivation in classes while exhibiting friendly, kind, energetic, outgoing, and enthusiastic qualities.

​Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

Conducting prepared water aerobics classes that offer challenging and educational routines and assists patrons with health and fitness goals; continues to grow in knowledge of fitness and exercise related topics; and always maintains a high level of motivation and enthusiasm.

Plans for each class and comes prepared with a routine and a back-up routine; adapt the routine as necessary to the needs of the patrons including adaptations to music, choreography, equipment, modality intensity and directionality.

For the Aquatic Program: you will record and maintain attendance records; observes and monitors participants during the workout; sets up facility, equipment, stores equipment and secures facility upon completion of class; enforces aquatic rules and policies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum of one year water aerobics experience or equivalent; possession of CPR/PR certificate of Advanced First Aid issued by the American Red Cross; possession of current AEA, Personal Trainer or Group Fitness certification preferred but not required to start the job.

Certified Fitness Instructor

RAPRD is currently accepting applications for a Certified Fitness Instructor for Group Exercise Programs. Fitness Instructor is responsible for teaching low impact formatted classes and/or specific weight training classes, supervising class participants and leading instructional sessions. General Group Fitness certification required. Experience teaching is preferred. Music cueing experience is preferred.

Seasonal Park Maintenance Tech
This position performs a variety of tasks related to park and facility maintenance, including maintaining landscapes, turf, shrubs, trees and flowerbeds, safety inspections of park areas, facilities and equipment improvements in existing parks, preparing fields for softball and soccer leagues and tournament play and interior and exterior building maintenance and janitorial tasks, including cleaning facilities. Seasonal Park Maintenance Tech operates mowers and other maintenance tools.
Knowledge of landscaping, irrigation, field preparation and playground safety preferred. Ability to drive and operate vehicles, equipment, machinery and tools safely preferred. At least one year of experience in park maintenance services preferred; possession of valid Oregon driver’s license; possession of CPR/PR certificate and Advanced First Aid certificate issues by American Red Cross must be obtained within 30 days.

Head Water Polo Coach
(mid-August through mid-November)
​
Under minimal supervision, Water Polo coaching duties require that with professional judgment and understanding of the OSAA guidelines, the coach will provide student/athletes the opportunity to play club water polo in a competitive environment. This is an entry level position requiring a basic knowledge of the game of water polo.
​
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Administrative

Tournament coordinator/scheduler for the season,

Organize volunteer positions; i.e. statistician,. table staff and announcer for home games,

Responsible for all communication between coaches, athletes, parents and RAPRD Admin.,

Travel coordinator: motel reservations, transportation, provide chaperones all necessary information.
Public Relations/Marketing

Post game results, statistics and photos for team members,

Recruitment of Players,

Parent/Student Athlete contract agreement to be read and signed before season begins.
Equipment Repair
-
Analyze and assist in fixing and/or maintaining all water polo equipment, electronic and conventional.
Club Representative
-
Serve as liaison between the RAPRD, High School, OHSWPC and student/athletes and parents.
Customer Service
-
Communicates with and answer questions from athletes and parents,

Handles conflicts with athletes and parents as needed.
Other

Completes special projects and other duties as assigned by the Aquatic Director, Executive Director or Board of Directors of Redmond Area Park and Recreation District to meet team, department and District goals while actively demonstrating accountability and responsibility for achieving desired outcomes and measurable results.

Lifeguard – Opening Shift
(Monday – Friday - 4:30am – 8 or 9am)

​ As an opening lifeguard, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our patrons during the quiet, peaceful hours of the morning. You'll have the opportunity to build strong relationships with our friendly regulars, who appreciate the peace and tranquility of our facilities in the early hours.

Aquatica Maintenance Custodian
This is a full-time position reporting to the Aquatic Director. Under general supervision, the Aquatics Maintenance Custodian completes various tasks for the park district, including, but not limited to groundskeeping, construction, maintenance, equipment operation, custodial and snow removal.
​
The ideal candidate for this position will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be able to diagnose and troubleshoot a wide range of issues related to aquatic facility maintenance. While previous experience in this field and/or a CPO certification is a plus, we are also willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn and grow with the district.

The Customer Support Specialist is the first-line contact for District customers through the telephone, email and in person. The ideal candidate has exceptional communication and organizational skills with special attention to detail and accuracy.

Sports Referees are responsible for providing officiating services to specific sports competitions and providing an atmosphere of fun in a competitive, yet safe, environment. Sports Referees are responsible for making immediate decisions based on program needs following district policy and procedures.
