​​Lifeguard Opener

​​

Under minimal Supervision the Lifeguard Opener ensures the safety of patrons at Cascade Swim Center by preventing and responding to emergencies, participating in daily lifeguarding operations. Performing rescues and in all work activities; performs a variety of tasks relative to the assigned area of responsibility. This position is 65% Lifeguarding and Instructing, 20% customer Service, 10% janitorial and 5% water chemistry checks.

 

Education and industry exposure minimums include:

• 12 months lifeguarding and swim instruction experience required

• possession of CP/AEDR certificate / Advanced First Aid Certificate issued by American Red Cross

• possession of Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate

 

Minimum age requirement: 18

Beginning Wage:  $15.50 - $16.00 per hour depending on certifications and experience

This position is part-time, year-round; hours are typically 4:30am to 9am

Lead Lifeguard

​

Education and industry exposure minimums include:

• 12 months lifeguarding and swim instruction experience required

• possession of CP/AEDR certificate / Advanced First Aid Certificate issued by American Red Cross

• possession of Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate

Minimum age requirement: 17

Beginning Wage:  $16.25 - $17.00 per hour depending on certifications

This position is part-time, year-round

Lifeguard/Swim Instructor

​

RAPRD is accepting applications for the Cascade Swim Center lifeguards/swim instructors.

​

Education and industry exposure minimums include:

• recent lifeguarding experience preferred

• possession of CP/AEDR certificate / Advanced First Aid Certificate issued by American Red Cross

• possession of Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate

Minimum age requirement: 14

Wages:  $15.05/hour (This is an entry level position)

​​​Sports Referee

​

Sports Referees are responsible for providing officiating services to specific sports competitions and providing an atmosphere of fun in a competitive, yet safe, environment. Sports Referees are responsible for making immediate decisions based on program needs following district policy and procedures.

​

Qualifications and requirements for referees include:

• Considerable knowledge of playing rules and regulations of specific sport required to do the job

• Safety guidelines related to assignment

• Possession of CPR/PR certificate and Advanced First Aid certificate issued by American Red Cross (must be obtained within 30 days of employment).
