Customer Support Specialist/Receptionist

 

RAPRD is accepting applications for our Customer Support Specialist/Receptionist position. Customer Support Specialist/Receptionist are the first-line contact for District customers so providing responsive customer support in a friendly, professional manner is essential. The ideal candidate has exceptional communication and organizational skills with special attention to detail and accuracy.

 

Possession of CPR/PR certificate and Advanced First Aid certificate issued by American Red Cross must be obtained within 30 days.

Recreation I (Lead) - Day Camp/Enrichment Class Instructors

RAPRD is accepting applications for our Recreation I (Lead) position. The REC I (Lead) is responsible for instructing and leading recreation classes and activities following provided curriculum. REC I (Lead) is responsible for making immediate decisions based on program needs following district policy and procedures. This position requires job knowledge and a familiarity with youth programs and diverse work relationships.

 

The ideal candidate is well organized and comfortable communicating program and facility information and rules with staff, participants and parents, and actively engaging with participants in a learning-based environment.

 

Qualifications and requirements include:

  • a high school diploma or equivalency

  • possession of a C.P.R/PR certificate issued by the American Red Cross (must obtain within 30 days of employment)

  • possession of an Advanced First Aid Certificate (must obtain within 30 days of employment)

  • intermediate written and verbal communications skills

  • basic computer skills and knowledge of computer programs

REC II - includes Enrichment, Activities and Summer Day Camp

RAPRD is accepting application for our Recreation II position. Under general supervision, REC II will be implementing and supporting the success of RAPRD's summer enrichment programs. REC II is responsible for making immediate decisions based on program needs following district policy and procedures. Position requires job knowledge and a familiarity with youth programs and diverse work relationships. This is an entry-level position.

The ideal candidate is comfortable communicating program and facility information and rules with participants and parents, planning, teaching, and/or assisting with enrichment classes, and actively engaging with participants in a learning-based environment.

Education and industry exposure minimums include:

  • a high school diploma or equivalency

  • possession of a C.P.R/PR certificate issued by the American Red Cross

  • possession of an Advanced First Aid Certificate (must obtain CPR and First Aid certificate within 30 days of employment)

  • general math skills

  • intermediate written and verbal communications skills, and

  • basic computer skills and knowledge of computer programs

Seasonal Park Maintenance Tech

RAPRD is currently accepting applications for Seasonal Park Maintenance Tech. The Seasonal Park Maintenance Tech performs a variety of tasks related to park and facility maintenance, including maintaining landscapes, turf, shrubs, trees, and flowerbeds, safety inspections of park areas, facilities and equipment, improvements in existing parks, preparing fields for softball and soccer league and tournament play, interior and exterior building maintenance and janitorial tasks, including cleaning facilities. The Seasonal Park Maintenance Tech operates mowers and other park maintenance tools.

Education and industry exposure minimums include:

  • knowledge of landscaping, irrigation, field preparation and playground safety preferred

  • ability to drive and operate vehicles, equipment, machinery and tools safely preferred

  • one year experience in park maintenance services preferred

  • possession of valid Oregon driver’s license

  • possession of CPR/PR certificate / Advanced First Aid Certificate issued by American Red Cross or must be obtained within 30 days of hire

Sports Referee

Sports Referees are responsible for providing officiating services to specific sports competitions and providing an atmosphere of fun in a competitive, yet safe, environment. Sports Referees are responsible for making immediate decisions based on program needs following district policy and procedures.

Qualifications and requirements for referees include considerable knowledge of playing rules and regulations of specific sport required to do the job and safety guidelines related to assignment. Possession of CPR/PR certificate and Advanced First Aid certificate issued by American Red Cross must be obtained within 30 days.

Assistant Swim Team Coach

RAPRD is currently accepting applications for the Assistant Swim Team Coach position. Assistant Swim Team Coach assists Head Swim Coach organizing and executing team practices and meets, and represents team at Oregon swimming meetings and parent advisory committee meetings. Assistant Swim Team Coach is responsible for ensuring development of each individual swimmer while encouraging sportsmanship, healthy competition and attendance at meets. Assistant Swim Team Coach is further expected to support the discipline of regular swimming practice consisting of technique demonstration and drills along with age-appropriate motivation, encouragement and fun.

Education and industry exposure minimums include:

  • a minimum two years experience or equivalent as an age-group coach

  • possession of Coaching Certification recommended

  • possession of CPR/PR certificate / Advanced First Aid Certificate issued by American Red Cross

  • possession of Lifeguard Certificate and coaches’ safety certificate or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire

Certified Fitness Instructor

RAPRD is currently accepting applications for a Certified Fitness Instructor for Group Exercise Programs. Fitness Instructor is responsible for teaching low impact formatted classes and/or specific weight training classes, supervising class participants and leading instructional sessions. General Group Fitness certification required. Experience teaching is preferred. Music cueing experience is preferred.

Aquatic Wellness Instructors

 

Have you always wanted to help people be healthy and happy? Do you want to be part of an amazing team of fitness professionals providing wellness opportunities in our community? RAPRD has openings for you to join our fantastic Aquatic Wellness Team. Aquatic Wellness instructors are responsible for overseeing the safety of water aerobics patrons while instructing a dynamic, safe and constructive hour long water fitness class. The instructor is expected to maintain a high level of motivation in classes while exhibiting friendly, kind, energetic, outgoing and enthusiastic qualities.

  • 12 months lifeguarding and swim instruction experience required
