Local Option Levy

Measure 9-175​

​

If the measure passes, the tax revenue would supplement the District’s permanent rate to support the operation of the new community Recreation Center including recreation and fitness programs and services for the greater Redmond area.

 

The new facility, currently under construction and scheduled to be completed

in early 2026, is designed to support multi-generational recreational, fitness,

therapeutic, and aquatic activities. It will include:

  • 8-lane lap pool

  • Leisure pool

  • Group fitness classrooms

  • Open fitness with cardio and weight equipment

  • Gymnasium equipped for basketball, volleyball, and pickleball

        with a walking track

  • Multipurpose room with a teaching kitchen

  • Child watch

Estimated Individual Tax Impact if Passed:

  • This measure would authorize a 5 year local option levy which would increase property taxes by $0.21 per 1,000 of assessed property value. 

  • If a property is assessed at $250,000 the property tax assessed on a monthly basis would be $4.38 or $52. 56 per year

If the measure does not pass:

  • The district would not receive the proposed tax funding for current operations or expansion of programs

  • Property taxes would not be increase
