RAPRD believes in the philosophy of inclusion, which means that regardless of ability or disability everyone deserves the opportunity to participate and recreate. We have three types of adaptive programs.
ADAPTIVE RECREATION PROGRAMS
OUTDOOR ICE SKATING RINK
The City of Redmond and the Redmond Area Park and Recreation District partner to operate and maintain the portable ice skating rink and provide an economical and fun activity for families to enjoy during the winter season.
DOWNTOWN REDMOND'S OUTDOOR ICE SKATING RINK
Ice Rink Status: OPEN
Downtown Redmond Plaza on 7th St. between Deschutes & Evergreen Ave. (Next to the Redmond Chamber of Commercie Office 446 SW 7th). Additional parking available at the public parking lot on Evergreen Ave.
The ice skating rink is open regular hours on holidays weather permitting.
The hours that staff will be at the rink, renting skates are:
November 30, 2022 - January 1, 2023
Friday & Saturday 2:00pm—10:00pm
January 2 - February 19, 2023
Friday & Saturday 3:00pm—10:00pm
Hours are subject to change and are weather dependent. Each skater is required to have a waiver on file. You will be provided with a waiver at the rink or you can download the waiver here and bring it with you.
$6.00 - including skate rental
$2.00 - if you provide your own skates
$20.00 - family rate (for family members who reside in the same household - maximum of six).
Scholarships are available - you may contact us in person at the Cascade Swim Center or the RAPRD Activity Center, or call (541) 548-7275 or (541) 526-1847 for detailed information on scholarships.
FREE SKATE :
Bring your own skates and skate free of charge. (Please note; the ice surface isn't groomed for free skate and it may be closed if there is snow on the rink, the ice is soft or if there are other safety hazards.)
