2022 Champions League final Liverpool 0-1 Real Madrid live online: Vinicius scores, second half, goals, plays, updates
The UEFA Champions League final is underway as Real Madrid and Liverpool kicked off at 3:36 p.m. ET in a delayed kickoff at the Stade de France. The start time was delayed by over half and hour for security reasons as Liverpool fans were delayed outside the stadium and unable to get in through limited available entrances. The first half saw Liverpool with the majority of the chances, with Sadio Mane hitting the post as Thibaut Courtois came up big in goal. On the other side, Real rarely threatened, but they did find the net late in the half via Karim Benzema, only for it to be called offside. The match entered the break level at 0-0.
You can watch the match live on CBS and Paramount+. Los Blancos will go for their 14th European crown, while Liverpool go for their seventh. The two teams met in the 1981 final, with the Reds coming out victorious, while it was Real who beat Liverpool in the 2018 final. Much has changed since the last time they met. Ahead of kickoff, we ranked the top 30 players in the final.

Real Madrid's entire plan is propped up by Courtois
It has been an impressive performance in net stopping everything that has come his way and allowing his attack to play on the break. Real Madrid will want another to feel comfortable but if they pitch a shutout, it'll be down to Courtois on why it could happen.
Jurgen Klopp makes his first change
It's Diogo Jota for Luis Diaz. Jota could slot in on the left wing or swap with Mane and play through the middle.
It's an opener from Vini Jr.! 1-0 Real Madrid
It's against the run of play but Valverde plays a perfect ball to Vini Jr. for the opener with their first shot on target of the night.
Champions League Final 2022 Live Score: Liverpool and Real Madrid meet in the mouth-watering final in Paris. While Jurgen Klopp's side is aiming to end the season with a trophy treble, Madrid look for a 14th European Cup victory. Liverpool are looking to clinch second Champions League in four seasons just days after they narrowly lost out to Manchester City in the Premier League title race. They have already won the English League Cup and FA Cup. Liverpool can win their seventh European Cup, which would take them level with AC Milan and leave only Real with more victories. Madrid, on the other hand, are looking to win their fifth Champions League in nine seasons. The Spanish giants, ominously, have won on all of their last seven final appearances. Madrid are pinning their hopes on Benzema, the 34-year-old Frenchman who has 15 goals in the competition this season. The French star has scored 44 times altogether this season to lead Real to the Spanish title. This will be the third final between the clubs, who also met in Paris in 1981, when the English side triumphed thanks to Alan Kennedy's goal at the Parc des Princes.
.Liverpool vs Real Madrid Final Live Score: 0-1
71': Very well tackle from Konate, who disrupts the run of Vinicius in a one v one contest. Frustrating for Liverpool, who are trying to make it 1-1.
Liverpool vs Real Madrid Live Score: 0-1
62': Fabinho is booked for flattening Valverde... First booking of the night... and we have substitution as well. Diaz makes away for Diogo Jota.
Liverpool vs Real Madrid Final Live Score: 0-1
A VAR check for offside permitting... but the goal stands! Valverde chipped in with a brilliant cross and Vinicius with a simple tap-in! Madrid take the lead!
Liverpool push forward once more. First, Alexander-Arnold tries to feed a low ball into Salah at the near post, but Real Madrid get it clear. Again Liverpool work it to Alexander-Arnold, who this time goes for power, pinging in a waist-height ball towards the far post. If Jota can get a touch, he may well be able to turn it goalwards - but he can't get that touch. It flies behind for a goal kick.
Uff. Madrid almost get Vinícius in behind the Liverpool defence with what is, essentially, a hoof up the park. Alisson is just out quickly enough to grab hold before his compatriot can reach the ball, however.
The decibels rise in the Real Madrid end when it's played out wide to Vinícius to take on a backpedalling Konaté. He scuttles towards the Liverpool area before trying to work himself a yard of space to shoot, but Konaté does very well to stick a leg in and dispossess the Brazilian.
Robertson plays the ball forward for Jota to chase down the left. He appears to foul Militao, but no free-kick is given and it's behind for a corner.
One corner becomes two, but Madrid get it clear.
Liverpool come back at Madrid - and again Courtois produces a crucial stop! Henderson's right-wing cross looks to be long, but Jota gets his head to it to knock it back across goal. It seems to be falling for Salah to turn into the net, but Courtois is there once more to block!
Salah wins a free-kick on the right wing, and Robertson swings it in. Valverde heads away, but back come Liverpool. Mané clips a cross back into the six-yard box, but again Madrid clear.
You do get the feeling that Madrid's name is on this trophy.
