DRAWING—BEGINNING & ADVANCED

This four week class will teach how to look, see, and repeat accurately forms and objects  in relation to one another. Portray shapes and use shading & texture. Local artist Dotte Heiney will provide individual attention. Join RAPRD and Dotte and bring out the artist in you!

SuppliesPlease bring the following to the first class

· Large newsprint drawing pad; no smaller than 16X20, Charcoal pencils, eraser (soft gray)) preferred. Sandpaper sharpening pad and white highlighter pencil

 

Session 1: March 10th - 31st

WEARABLE ART PAINTING 

Bring a shirt, jacket, or tote bag, and  learn a method of painting on fabrics that is washable and wearable. In this 4 week class the participant will learn different painting strokes, the useful color on fabrics, and how to make and use stencils. Students will select an

image and transfer it onto fabric. ALL garments MUST BE WASHED prior to painting.  Once paint is applied and heat-set it is permanent and washable.
