Every season of the year, RAPRD offers a variety of events that you or your children can enroll in: gymnastics, educational programs, dance, softball, sports clinics, and much more. You’ll find that there’s plenty going on around town that you can enjoy.

Art Explorers | Grades K-6th| Redmond Senior Center

This is a multimedia art program for K-6th grades. We will use paint, clay, oil pastels, chalks and so much more. this art class is filled with imagination and creativity. Please wear an old shirt as this class tends to get messy.

Mo'Brickz Virtual Lego® Classes | Grades K-3rd | Virtual Zoom Class

Is your child a fan of building with LEGO® pieces you have at home and join us for Mo'Brickz Virtual LEGO® classes. Each week we will explore a different building technique or style of building and participate in a new challenge with your child's own LEGO® bricks and pieces. These challenges focus on problem solving techniques that your child will use for years to come.

Kids Yoga | Ages 5-11 | Redmond Senior Center

Kids Yoga can we expressed in one word: FUN! This class features imaginative play with yoga poses, fun songs and fosters creativity while also working on gross and fine motor skills for your child. Each of the four classes will feature a theme and will have a worksheet to take home so you can continue to practice the poses at home. Parents are encouraged to attend and/or even join in with your child.

Paint Night | Ages 14 & UP | Redmond Senior Center 

Enjoy a 2-hour class working with acrylic paint on an 11x14 canvas. Each session will present a new theme. Working with step-by- step instructions to create a finished piece while building on your skills. All supplies will be provided. This class will be offered once a month with a new painting each month. You must register online or come into one of our offices to secure your spot. No drop-ins accepted. Discounted fee given when you bring a friend.

Do you have a really nice Canon camera, but didn't read the instructions or really know how to use it? Join us to share the joys of your Canon camera for the best images. We will go through all of the functions, discover your aperture, shutter speeds, ISO and then take pictures in manual mode. It's time to move away from the auto mode and discover your inner photographer.

Learn Your Nikon Camera | Ages 14 & UP | Virtual Zoom Class

Have a Nikon camera? Don't let it get dusty on the shelf because you're intimidated by its greatness. Join us as we discuss the many features of your Nikon camera has to offer to help you capture the best shot! We will go through the functions of your Nikon camera, learn your aperture, shutter speed, ISO and then take pictures in manual mode. It's time to come out of your comfort zone of auto mode and jump into taking pictures in your custom modes. Smile!

Learn Your Sony Camera | Ages 14 & UP | Virtual Zoom Class

Have a Sony camera? It's time to learn more about your camera's shutter speed, aperture and the many other functions that your camera has that help you capture your favorite moments in life. It's time to take off the training wheels known as auto mode and try to set your favorite custom modes.

Learn to Edit Pics in Adobe Photoshop Elements | Ages 14 & UP | Virtual Zoom Class

Learn to edit your pictures for people who are brand new to editing pictures or those who have some editing experience and looking to hone skills. You will be using your own photos learning to: color correct, brightness and contrast, replacing one part of the image with another, blurring an area of the photo which is in focus already, correcting for improper white balance, sharpening a blurred photo and layers. Participants need to have Adobe Photoshop Elements installed before class begins.

Learn to Edit Pics in Adobe Lightroom CC | Ages 14 & UP | Virtual Zoom Class

Learn to use Lightroom for people who want to make their photos look better. Fix basic issues like exposure, white balance and crop. Organize your photos in Lightroom and to be able to easily find photos. Edit just parts of the photo with brushes and filters. Learn about presets already in Lightroom. We talk about sharing and exporting for online sharing. Participants need to have Adobe Lightroom CC installed before class begins.

Learn to Edit Pics in Adobe Photoshop CC | Ages 14 & UP | Virtual Zoom Class

Learn how to take edited photos from Lightroom CC into Photoshop CC and how the platform works. You will be using your own photos to: use various photoshop tools, select parts of the photos using different selection tools, replace parts of the image with another, remove unwanted parts of the image, blur an area of the photo which is in focus already and how to use layers. Participants need to have Adobe Photoshop CC installed before class begins.

Diane's Horseback Riding | Ages 7-18 | Beginning | Diane's Riding Place

In this intro class Diane starts with the basics including learning how to mount and properly care for a horse as well as how to cinch, saddle and prepare to ride a horse. Horses and tack provided.  Registration deadline is 48 hours before the start of class.

Diane's Horseback Riding | Ages 7-18 | Intermediate | Diane's Riding Place
Once you’ve learned the basics, it’s time to take things a step further with more advanced maneuvers and learning how to better communicate with the horse. Enjoy the art of learning to ride and care for a horse at Diane’s Riding Place. Horses and tack provided. Registration deadline is 48 hours before the start of class.

Junior Development Tennis | Ages 11-13 | Valleyview Courts

This class will cover different stroking patterns including, groundstrokes, overheads, serves and returns.

​

Orange Ball Tennis | Ages 6-10 | Valleyview Courts

This class will cover all stroke fundamentals, serves, volleys, forehand and backhand strokes and fun action court games. A low compression orange ball will be used.

​

Kendo Beginner and Advanced for Youth & Adults | Ages 12 & UP | Redmond Senior Center

Learn the fun and challenging martial art of Kendo (Japanese fencing). The Redmond Kendo Club focuses on teaching traditional Kendo that will promote a strong mind and body for youth and adults in a safe environment. Redmond Kendo Club is instructed by Ryan Atagi fifth degree black belt Kendo and second degree black belt Iaido. Price includes a bamboo sword. Advanced team discounted for swords already brought. Youth Football Camp | Grades 1st-8th | Redmond High School Football Field

RAPRD would like to introduce our Redmond Youth Football Camp. In partnership with the Redmond Panther and Ridgeview Raven Football programs to bring football education, training and player safety to Central Oregon. This program emphasizes skill development, engagement, sportsmanship, teamwork, player safety and fun. Skills to include running, catching, blocking, throwing, tackling and agility. This one-day camp will be divided into two parts. Grades 1-4 will run from 9am to 12pm, while grades 5-8 will go from 1pm to 4pm. All coaching and instruction will be run by the Redmond Panther and Ridgeview

Raven Varsity Football coaches and players. T-shirt and lunch included. Registration deadline is Wednesday, May 25th.

Adult Softball | Ages 18 & UP | High Desert Sports Complex

Sign your team up now to join a softball league. The season runs from May through mid-August 2022 and all games will be played at the High Desert Sports Complex. All leagues will have a single elimination playoff. COED ASA (Wednesday) competitive leagues will be provided with umpires. COED Recreational Leagues game days are determined by the night that you register for (Tuesday or Thursday). COED & Men's 5v5v5 leagues will be played on Monday nights. Late teams will be accepted at the discretion of RAPRD and will be subject to a late registration fee of $25.00. For more information call (541) 526-1847 or (541) 548-7275. Teams will register for the night they wish to play, 8 teams per night. Only the first 8 teams to register for each night of play will be allowed in the league.
