Redmond Area Park and Recreation District manages three facilities; the Cascade Swim Center, the High Desert Sports Complex, and the Borden Beck Wildlife Preserve. Through the efforts of staff, volunteers and the community at large RAPRD maintains these facilities with the purpose of providing recreational resources to the Redmond Area Community.

Cascade Swim Center

The Cascade Swim Center is located at 465 SW Rimrock Dr., Redmond OR. For directions to the swim center please click on the CSC MAP link. The swim center features:

  • A 25 meter pool
  • Horseshoe Pits
  • Basketball Courts
  • The Lions Preschool Park
  • Sand Volleyball Court
  • Picnic & Park Areas

 

 

RAPRD Activity Center

 

image002.jpgThe RAPRD Activity Center is located at 335 Jackson Street, Redmond, OR.  Opened April 7, 2008, this facility offers a variety of indoor activities. For directions to the Activity Center please click on the RAC MAP link.

High Desert Sports Complex

The High Desert Sports Complex is located at 1859 N.E. Maple Ave., Redmond OR. For directions to the Sports Complex please click on the HDSC MAP link. The Sports Complex features:

  • Four Softball Fields
  • Restrooms
  • Concession Stand
  • BMX Bike Track (operated by the Smith Rock BMX Club)
  • Remote Control Airplane landing strip (operated by the Field of Dreams R/C Club)

 

Borden Beck Wildlife Preserve

Borden Beck Wildlife Preserve is a naturally protected area bordering the Deschutes River at Lower Bridge Crossing. Through the annual donations of the Beck family the preserve is maintained in its natural state for local residents to enjoy. The Borden Beck Wildlife Preserve is located five miles west of Terrebonne on Lower Bridge Road. For directions to the Wildlife Preserve please click on the Preserve MAP link. The Wildlife Preserve features:

  • Nature and Hiking Trails
  • Picnicking area
  • Fishing and swimming opportunities in the Deschutes River
  • Wildlife viewing opportunites

Please respect the natural environment at the Wildlife Preserve by leaving the area as it was when you arrived. Your assitance in maintaining this beautiful gift to the district is greatly appreciated.


Tetherow Crossing

The Historical Tetherow Crossing is RAPRD's newest addition. Rich with history and natural beauty the property is truly a community asset. Development plans for the property are currently under consideration and we encourage and welcome your input. If your interested, Give us a call (548-7275) and we will add you to our Tetherow updates list and mail you invitations to all public forums hosted regarding the property.
