Redmond Ice Skating Rink

The Redmond Ice Skating Rink is scheduled to open November 2013, (weather permitting) for the 3rd season. The rink is located at the downtown Redmond plaza on SW 7th Street. Come prepared to skate as there are no changing rooms available. Occasional closures may be necessary in the event of poor weather conditions such as temperatures above 50°F, wind, rain or snow.

We will have daily free skate times (must have your own skates) and then the fee times. Hours are subject to change. Each skater is required to have a waiver on file. You will be provided with a waiver at the rink or you can download the waiver from our website and take it with you.

Fees are $4.00 including skate rental, $1.00 if you provide your own skates and $12.00 family rate for family members who reside in the same household (maximum of six). Scholarships are available. Keep a watch on our website at www.raprd.org for the latest information on the ice skating rink. You are welcome to call (541) 548-7275 for additional information.

We look forward to another exciting season at the Redmond Ice Skating Rink. See you on the ice!

Pedestrian and Bike Safety Education

BTARAPRD is proud to introduce pedestrian and bike safety education! Thanks to the BTA (Bicycle Transportation Alliance) JUMPSTART Walk + Bike Education Program, we will have access to a fleet of 36 bikes and 100 helmets to teach curriculum in our RSD P.E. classes as well as during RAPRD after-school programming during the 2013-2014 school year. Currently we will be participating with Sage, John Tuck, and RPA during P.E. classes, and additionally at John Tuck, Sage, Vern Patrick, and Tom McCall during our after-school program, Adventure Quest.

communtWe will provide a free mandatory training for involved teachers on August 21st from 9am – 4pm that will provide all of the necessary tools in order to teach this curriculum. If you are interested in getting your school involved, or would like more information, please contact Courtney at RAPRD, courtney.moran@raprd.org or at 541-526-1847.

A big THANK YOU to the BTA and Commute Options for making this possible!
