Youth Sports

RAPRD believes that youth sports play an important part in the development of young people in our community.  We offer programs that provide a positive quality experience which promotes a fun family environment.  We want participants to learn good sportsmanship and have fun while mandating that every player have equal playing time.  We want our participants to learn good sportsmanship and to have fun in a controlled competitive environment.  Currently we offer soccer (fall and spring) and basketball as well as tennis.  Our coaches are trained to go the “extra mile” to understand and offer positive help to all players.

SoccerFall Soccer -  This recreational youth league will run for 8 weeks, beginning in September. Games are played on Saturdays beginning September 11th with 1 to 2 practices during the week depending on the volunteer coaches schedule. Shirts are provided by RAPRD, parents are required to provide shin guards and socks for their child. Shin guards are available for purchase at the Activity Center - $5.00. Pays Orientation Required. Tumbling I - Ages 5 and UP. Participants will begin with basic floor exercises, such as various rolls, cartwheels, handstands and low balance beam. Please wear comfortable clothes and hair pulled back. Click for details.

Volleyball Camp - Spike, bump, serve and set your way into 4 weeks of fun while learning the fundamentals of the game. Each week will focus on a different element of the game, culminating into a fun scrimmage on the last day using all the skills learned. Boys and girls encouraged to play. Shirt included. CheerleadingCheerleading Clinic - Join the RHS Varsity Cheerleaders for an afternoon of cheer, spirit, lifts and fun. Come learn the cheers that our very own cheerleaders use to get the crowd supporting the Panther teams. Participants should bring a water bottle and wear tennis shoes. Panther cheer shirt is included. Participants are invited to cheer the first quarter with the RHS Cheerleaders at the September 25th Hall of Fame game against Summit High School. Go Team!! Boys Youth Hoops - Boys youth hoops play 5 weeks (double headers) with emphasis on skills and fundamental development. Games are on Saturdays with practices 2 times a week to be determined by the volunteer coach; referees provided. Volunteer coaches are needed to make this league fun and successful for all players. Registration deadline is Thursday, October 7th. Click for details.

Girls Youth Hoops - Girls youth hoops play 5 weeks (double headers) with emphasis on skills and fundamental development. Games are on Saturdays with practices 2 times a week to be determined by the volunteer coach; referees provided. Volunteer coaches are needed to make this league fun and successful for all players. Cheerleading for Boys & Girls Youth Hoops - Create the spirit that makes the crowd go wild. Cheerleading is a great way to build confidence and coordination as you cheer on the Boys or Girls Youth Hoops teams. All games are on Saturday's with practices based on the volunteer coaches schedule. Registration includes a cheer shirt. Sign up for the season that you want to cheer for. Taekwondo

Acrovision Taekwon-Do
- Taught by 6th degree, Master Gustafson, this Taekwon-Do class provides an opportunity for students to train in a complete martial arts system. Taekwon-Do, translation foot, fist way, is a Korean Martial art that dates back over 2000 years. This class provides an opportunity for students to learn respect, Korean culture, discipline, fitness, self-defense and provides a means for enhancing self-confidence. Through the 5 tenets; courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit, students find that what they learn in class can be translated and practiced in their everyday lives.
