Youth Enrichment

First Friday Pajama Party - Ages 5-12. Give yourself a night out the first Friday of each month. Bring your child(ren) to the RAPRD Activity Center for 3.5 hours of fun and games. We have all kinds of games to play and art to dabble in. Have your kids wear their pajamas or just some comfy clothes and get ready for some fun. Pizza and drinks will be provided. Friday Night Fun - Middle School Students ONLY. The RAPRD Activity Center is open late just for you. Come hang out with your friends for basketball, dodge ball, Wii, batting cage, music and more. Concessions available for additional cost - chips, candy, soda, ice cream, etc. Bring your student I.D. to get in the door.

Archery - Ages 8-13. Learn the fun and exciting sport of archery in Redmond's only indoor archery range. We'll start with the basics, learning proper safety and bow handling, archery etiquette and finishing each month's session with some fun games and prizes. Cent Wise Sporting Goods will provide everything you need. Click for details.


Tumbling/Beginning Gymnastics - Ages 6-10. Participants will begin with basic gymnastic floor exercises such as rolls, cartwheels, handstands and low balance beam. Click for details.

Dance Fitness - Ages 6-12. Join RAPRD in this motivating, educational fitness class using styles of Hip Hop through pre-choreographed movement as well as developing your own unique style in "freestyle" time.

It's Spring Break -- YEAH!  March 26-30, 2012 is Spring Break. Instead of sitting around the house all day, come to the activity center to shoot, throw and challenge your friends. A minimum of eight (8) participants is required for each activity to run. Register early to reserve your spot. Grades 3rd-7th.

Sports Sampler - Play an assortment of new and classic gym games such as volleyball, noodle honerf picckey, wiffleball and Midwest Handball. All games will be team-based and requests will be taken. Click for details.

Nerf Wars - Dodge, dart and tuck behind obstacles as you fire upon your opponents in this energetic game of Nerf Wars at the RAPRD Activity Center. This is a drop-in activity. Click for details.


Dodgeball Mania - Dodge, dart and tuck as you avoid oncoming balls thrown by your opponent in the exciting fame of Dodgeball Mania. Staff will lead several types of games to keep it fun and lively. This is a drop-in activity. Click for details.

fenciblesYouth Fencing-Elementary Foil - Ages 9-15. Explore the challenging and exciting sport of fencing offered by RAPRD with the training provided by Fencibles in Bend. Participants will be instructed in the basic footwork of fencing, blade work and tactics so you can enjoy the sport in a safe manner. Equipment will be provided. Click for details.

taekwondo picAcrovision Taekwondo - Ages 6 and up. Taekwon-Do class taught at the RAPRD Activity Center provides an opportunity for students to train in a complete martial arts system. This class provides an opportunity for students to learn respect, Korean culture, discipline, fitness, self-defense and provides a means for enhancing self-confidence. Uniforms are required and will be available for purchase at the first class. Click for details.


Bend Rock Gym

Grades 1st-5th. Pinch, crimp and pull your way to the top. The professionals at Bend Rock Gym will show novice climbers the ropes. Transportation will be provided from the RAPRD Activity Center. Click for details.

Pre-Ballet - Ages 6-8. Pre-ballet is a fun and creative class geared toward the young child. In addition to introducing the basics of ballet, children learn about body awareness, spatial and musical awareness, basic motor skills and development of creativity through movement. Click for details.

Tap - Ages 6-7. This fun-filled class incorporates rhythm and creative movement while learning the basics of tap. Learn a tap dance and improve your technique during each four class session. Take one session or take them all. Tap shoes are available for loan or bring your own. A community recital opportunity is available to all participants. Click for details.

Discover Scuba Diving - February 11th
Have you ever wondered what it is like to breathe underwater? This is your opportunity to try scuba in the comfort of the Cascade Swim Center pool. This one day class provides participants both land and water based training. It includes an introduction to scuba gear, information about basic safety and the chance to don gear and get in the water. If you ever wondered about scuba diving, this is the perfect opportunity to try it without a long-term commitment. RAPRD is proud to offer this class in conjunction with Central Oregon Diving. Team Building - Ages 9 and up. Is your group or club looking for a fun and challenging way to improve your communication, leadership and problem solving skills? Our staff uses a variety of creative team building exercises to get your members thinking and working together to reach a goal. There are a variety of programs and each will be tailored to meet the needs and objectives of your specific group. Click for details.
