Adult Sports

RAPRD offers traditional leagues in softball and basketball as well as tennis lessons.  Participants must be 18 years of age and out of high school. Adults from 18 to100 are encouraged to participate in a sport you have always wanted to try or get back “into” a sport you have been “away” from for awhile.  Our programs are suited for all abilities and fitness levels.  There’s always something new and fun going on so why not sign up for a sport today?

Men's City League - Ages 18 and up. This league is designed for competitive basketball. Games will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings at Obsidian Middle School. The season ends with a single elimination tournament. Referees and scorekeepers will be provided. Completed rosters and full payment due by deadline, Thursday, December 16th. Late fee of $25.00 applies if deadline is missed. Click for details.

Adult Open Gym Basketball - Come shoot a few hoops or pick up a game during open gym. Open gym subject to school closures or activities. Click for details.

Water RaftingWhite Water Rafting - Ages 6 and up. Fall is the time to enjoy the beautiful Oregon Rivers, without the crowds. This program will get you geared up to handle the elements and will allow you to see the McKenzie River in a serene and amazing time of year. Join our world-class raft guides to navigate amazing class II-III rapids and observe the river's fall colors. All gear, transportation and lunch are provided. Participants must weigh at least 50 pounds. Suggested items: extra set of warm clothes, swim suit, towel and water bottle. Pick up from Cascade Swim Center. Click for details.

Rock Climbing - Ages 7 and up. RAPRD has partnered with Smith Rock Climbing Guides for a great rock climbing experience. Participants are introduced to ratings, equipment, climbing knots, belaying, rappelling, rope handling, anchors and movement on rock. You will be learning from a professional guide. All equipment is provided. Additional waiver/release needs to be completed prior to climbing. Participants responsible for their own transportation to Smith Rock State Park. Masters Swimming - Ages 18 and up. This is a coached adult fitness swimmer opportunity that can challenge you in your fitness and competitive goals. Workouts often require the ability to swim at least 500 meters. Drop-in only, registration is not required. Click for details.
