Adult Sports

RAPRD offers traditional leagues in softball and basketball as well as tennis lessons.  Participants must be 18 years of age and out of high school. Adults from 18 to 100 are encouraged to participate in a sport you have always wanted to try or get back “into” a sport you have been “away” from for awhile.  Our programs are suited for all abilities and fitness levels.  There’s always something new and fun going on so why not sign up for a sport today?

Drop-in Basketball/Open Gym - All ages. Pick up a game or come shoot some hoops at the RAPRD Activity Center every evening after aerobics. Check the weekly schedule for availability. Click for details.

fenciblesAdult Fencing-Elementary Foil - Ages 15 and up. Explore the challenging and exciting sport of fencing offered by RAPRD with the training provided by Fencibles in Bend. Participants will be instructed in the basic footwork of fencing, blade work and tactics so you can enjoy the sport in a safe manner. Equipment will be provided. Click for details.

Batting Cage - Come swing in our indoor batting cage by the token or the hour. Available throughout the day, check out the schedule for full availability and closures. Must wear closed-toed shoes. Click for details.

Adult Softball - Ages 18 and up. Sign your team up early to join Redmond's Men's Competitive or Co-Ed Recreational Softball Leagues. The season runs from May through July and all games will be played at the High Desert Sport's Complex. Umpires are provided for the Men's Competitive League and Co-Ed Recreational Playoff games. Adult Kickball League - Ages 18 and up. It's time for adult recess. RAPRD adult kickball brings a fresh new twist to the adult recreational sports scene. Kickball? Yes, like you played in 5th grade. Come join the fun. Click for details.

taekwondo picAcrovision Taekwon-Do - Ages 6 and up. Taekwon-Do class taught at the RAPRD Activity Center provides an opportunity for students to train in a complete martial arts system. This class provides an opportunity for students to learn respect, Korean culture, discipline, fitness, self-defense and provides a means for enhancing self-confidence. Uniforms are required and will be available for purchase at the first class. Click for details.

Discover Scuba Diving - Ages 10 and up. Have you ever wondered what it is like to breathe underwater? This is your opportunity to try scuba in the comfort of the Cascade Swim Center pool. This one day class provides participants both land and water based training. It includes an introduction to scuba gear, information about basic safety and the chance to don gear and get in the water. If you ever wondered about scuba diving, this is the perfect opportunity to try it without a long-term commitment. RAPRD is proud to offer this class in conjunction with Central Oregon Diving.
