ADVENTURE QUEST 2011

Adventure Quest 1 Begin and finish your day with your park and recreation district as we dabble in art, explore science, gym and recess games, nutrition and fitness, brain busters (homework assistance), sports and more. Each week will have themed activities to engage your children. We have before and after school options to fit your Adventure Quest 2 schedule. Adventure Quest is for Kindergarten to 5th grade.

We will be offering full day activities for non-school days including teacher in-service days. Check with your school to see what is happening during the Winter Break (December 20-23 and 27-30) and check out Spring Break activities below. Adventure Quest will be closed on January 17th, Martin Luther King Day and May 30th, Memorial Day. You can enroll your child at their on-site school program during hours of operation, the Cascade Swim Center or RAPRD Activity Center.

After School Specialty Day Activities

All After School Specialty Day Activities are from 4:30 to 5:30pm with a drop-in fee of $5.00. For weekly Adventure Quest participants, Specialty Day Activities are included in their weekly activities.

Don't forget your ticket, as we set the stage for a week of theatre fun! Create your own character or play a famous one. Join us as we rehearse our masterpiece to be performed as the finale of events on Friday, March 25th. Some of the activities you will participate in are: Wardrobe Relay, Who's Line is it Anyway? (improv), Prop Making, Charades, Make your award (Oscar, Emmy, Tony) and Shoe Relay.

We are proud to announce an expansion of Adventure Quest. Beginning November 29th RAPRD will offer before and after school services exclusive to kindergarteners. This program will focus on enhancing your child's scholastic experience while providing fun and exciting experiences. The Kinder Quest program will begin at Sage Elementary with Tom McCall and Vern Patrick soon to follow. Our goal is to reinforce the academic curriculum begin taught on a daily basis in the kindergarten classroom while maintaining a fun and exciting atmosphere. We plan to offer a mixture of traditional gym and field games, an extensive array of arts and crafts and an incredible interactive environment to offer your eager kindergartener.
