It is our goal at Cascade
Swim Center that everyone enjoys a safe water experience
and has fun.
Please take some time to review these rules and share
them with your children.

Pool Rules
Be Safe
-
No person may swim alone without a
lifeguard on duty.
-
No running or rough play
-
No person under the influence of
alcohol or illicit drugs may use the pool or spa.
-
No diving—except in designated
diving areas.
-
Deep end swimmers must be able to
demonstrate appropriate water skills level before
entering the deep water area.
Supervision Requirements
-
Children Under 6 years old must be
accompanied at all times by a responsible person 16
years of age or older.
-
Children must be at least 42”
inches from the chin down or must be accompanied by a
responsible person 16 years of age or older.
Behavioral Expectations
Here at Cascade Swim Center we want your time to be fun,
safe and enjoyable.
We expect all people using the facility to:

Protect Our Water
-
Shower
your child and yourself—Take a cleansing shower
before entering the pool or spa.
-
Please do
not use the pool or spa if you have had diarrhea in
the past two weeks or a disease communicable by
water.

Children
less than three years of age or swimmers who are not
toilet trained must wear a swim diaper.
Deep Water Swimming
-
Swimmers
must be able to swim at least 2 widths non-stop with
a usable breathing pattern.
A swim test will be done in the shallow end
and witnessed by a lifeguard.

Diving
from the deck will be allowed from designated areas
and times only.
-
No
somersaults, cartwheels, back flips or rough play.
-
Recreational use of the starting platforms is not
allowed.
Basic Diving Board Rules
- Only
one person permitted on a diving board at a time.
- No
running and one bounce only.
- Swim
directly to the side following a dive.
- Diving
is permitted only if the diving pool area is clear
of all swimmers.

Other
stipulations and rules may apply.
Talk to a lifeguard for additional use
regulations
Hot Tub Use
- People
16 years or older can use the hot tub for 15 minutes
at a time.( ID is required)

Everyone must take a cleansing shower before
entering the hot tub.
- No
young children or babies are allowed in the spa area
-
Consult a doctor first if:
- You
are elderly or pregnant
- Taking
prescription drugs
- Have
diabetes, high blood pressure,
or heat disease
- You
have a communicable disease
- Open
wound bandages

Recently
used drugs or alcohol
Wading Pool Use
- The
Wading pool is an outdoor pool that is usually
opened around memorial day weekend and remains open
throughout the summer depending upon the weather.
- The
wading pool is for children under 5 years old. The
only exceptions is non-swimmers who are less than 42
inches from the chin down.

Approved toys and balls are allowed in the wading
pool. Flotation devices which a child could be
harmed from are not allowed.
- If the
lifeguards hear thunder the children’s pool and deck
will be cleared.

All other
pool rules apply.
Locker Room Rules
-
Children 5 years and over must use the locker room
of their same gender.
If this presents a difficulty there are
public bathrooms in the front lobby. Please contact
a lifeguard if assistance is required.
- Towel
snapping or other anti-social behavior is not
allowed in the locker room.

Running and/or rough play is not allowed in the
locker room.
- No
food or drinks are allowed in the locker room.
- Please
keep showers brief when others are waiting.
-
No cell
phones or photo devices.
Food & Drink
- No
food and/or drink allowed in the pool areas.
- No
glass or plastic that can shatter allowed.
-
Candy and
gum are not permitted in the pool area.
Cascade Swim Center or
RAPRD is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
We strongly recommend that you secure your belongings in
a locked locker or take them with you.
Cascade Swim Center is a smoke free facility.
